POLYMERS FOR ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES is published in response to recent significant changes in the patterns of materials research and development. Worldwide attention has been focused on the critical importance of materials in the creation of new devices and systems. It is now recognized that materials are often the limiting factor in bringing a new technical concept to fruition and that polymers are often the materials of choice in these demanding applications. A significant portion of the polymer research ongoing in the world is directly or indirectly related to the solution of complex, interdisciplinary problems whose successful resolution is necessary for achievement of broad system objectives.
Population Ecology publishes refereed original research articles and reviews on various aspects of population ecology, from the individual to the community level. Coverage includes population dynamics and distribution, evolutionary ecology, ecological genetics, theoretical models, conservation biology, agroecosystem studies, and bioresource management. Notes and Comments articles (limited to 6 pages in print) offer brief items on both empirical and theoretical investigations, as well as comments on previously published papers. New concepts, analyses, and data are discussed in Forum articles. Special Features, collections of research articles and reviews organized by the editors, are published periodically and focus on specific research topics. The Chief Editor is Dr. Kazunori Sato, Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu, Japan.
Population and Development Review is essential reading to keep abreast of population studies, research on the interrelationships between population and socioeconomic change, and related thinking on public policy. Its interests span both developed and developing countries, theoretical advances as well as empirical analyses and case studies, a broad range of disciplinary approaches, and concern with historical as well as present-day problems. It maintains a high level of readability, not sacrificing scholarship but focusing on ideas and insights rather than analytical technicalities. Through its commentaries, review essays, book reviews, and excerpts of prescient writings from the past, it contributes to the liveliness and critical depth of its field. An appreciative readership and strong citation counts attest to its value.
Population, Space and Place aims to be the leading English-language research journal in the field of geographical population studies. It intends to:
Pregnancy, the official journal of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, publishes peer-reviewed original research papers, reviews, opinions, and guidelines devoted to the topic of pregnancy. The journal aims to include work that encompasses all aspects of pregnancy-related investigation, including those concerning the life course of the individual and social drivers of health.
