Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is produced 12 times per year and publishes peer-reviewed original papers, reviews and editorials concerned with clinical practice and research in the fields of hepatology, gastroenterology and endoscopy. Papers cover the medical, radiological, pathological, biochemical, physiological and historical aspects of the subject areas. All submitted papers are reviewed by at least two referees expert in the field of the submitted paper.

The Journal of Genetic Counseling, published for the National Society of Genetic Counselors, Inc., is a timely, international forum addressing all aspects of genetic counseling. The journal focuses on the critical questions and problems that arise at the interface between rapidly advancing technical developments and the concerns of individuals at genetic risk. The publication provides genetic counselors, medical social workers, medical and laboratory geneticists, and other health educators with a premier source of news, information and insight.

The Journal of Graph Theory is devoted to a variety of topics in graph theory, such as structural results about graphs, graph algorithms with theoretical emphasis, and discrete optimization on graphs. The scope of the journal also includes related areas in combinatorics and the interaction of graph theory with other mathematical sciences. A subscription to the Journal of Graph Theory includes a subscription to the Journal of Combinatorial Designs .

The 'Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences' is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery and the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and the Japan Biliary Association. The journal succeeds the 'Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery' with its well-established reputation and 16-year history. The newly named journal builds upon that tradition with the expanded scope of disseminating knowledge in broader fields not limited to surgery. Also welcomed are articles on radiology (including interventional radiology), pathology, endoscopy, biochemistry, and physiology--in all aspects of the field of hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic diseases. All contributions, which are published as original articles, topics, review articles, technical notes, images of interest, rapid communications, letters to the editors, and other articles, should be aimed at promoting international scientific collaboration.

Overview. A heterocyclic compound is defined as any organic compound where their molecules are characterized by rings containing at least one atom other than carbon. These compounds are structurally similar to cyclic organic hydrocarbons, but their properties can vary widely from those of their hydrocarbon counterparts and are largely governed by the identity, location and number of heteroatoms present in the molecule. It is this rich diversity of physical and biological properties that has lead to intense study of heterocyclic compounds. It follows then that Heterocyclic Chemistry is the study of all aspects of heterocyclic compounds. Heterocyclic chemistry has its origin in organic synthesis, natural products chemistry and medicinal chemistry. Indeed most any heterocyclic chemist will also consider themselves organic chemists and many will consider themselves to be natural products chemists and medicinal chemists as well. This relationship between disciplines arises because heterocyclic molecules are fundamental building blocks of biological systems. In addition to its importance to biology, heterocyclic chemistry has seen intense study in diverse areas such as dyes, photosensitizers, coordination compounds, polymeric materials and many other fields. Policies. The Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry is interested in publishing research on all aspects of Heterocyclic Chemistry. A perusal of any issue will show that the majority of manuscripts submitted are on the synthesis and properties of heterocyclic compounds. Many of those studies include a short history of the biological and commercial applications of related compounds, and often include biological screening data corresponding to newly reported compounds. This strong connection between the preparation of heterocyclic compounds and their potential benefit to humanity is both welcomed and encouraged. One will also find articles related to physical organic chemistry studies on heterocyclic compounds, mechanistic studies of reactions leading to heterocyclic compounds and studies of the photophysical properties of heterocyclic compounds, just to name a few. Heterocyclic chemistry is an ever-expanding subject where scientists regularly discover new and exciting applications for heterocyclic compounds. The Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry invites authors to submit heterocyclic chemistry research on any aspect of heterocyclic chemistry in the form of Articles, Notes, Reviews, and Communications. Articles must report the results of comprehensive research and will usually amount to more than four final printed journal pages. Shorter papers, usually classified as notes, are acceptable. Complete spectral characterization of all new compounds reported, is required for publication in the Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry. All new compounds must be subjected to combustion analysis for at least two elements (typically C and H) and values within ± 0.4 must be obtained. Notes are simply smaller articles that are concise reports of completed projects. The requirements for notes are the same as those of articles. Manuscripts submitted as articles may in some cases be accepted as notes. As for articles all new compounds must be adequately characterized by spectral data and combustion analysis. Communications to the Editor may be of any length but should report new, important and timely research for which rapid publication is warranted. We require that communications include procedures, compound preparation data and related data in sufficient detail that an experienced chemist can duplicate the work. Elemental analysis and spectral data supporting all new compounds are a requirement for publication and must be included as part of the submitted manuscript. Reviews may be exhaustive or may be short indicating only the highlights of a given area. It is wise to communicate with the editor in advance of preparation and/or submission to determine the timeliness of any given review. Authors bear the sole responsibility for the contents of manuscripts and the accuracy of the data therein.

The Journal of Historical Sociology was founded in 1988 on the conviction that historical and social studies ultimately have a common subject matter and can only benefit from the interchange of ideas and perspectives. Edited by a distinguished international panel of historians, anthropologists, geographers and sociologists, it is both interdisciplinary in approach and innovative in content. As well as refereed articles, the journal presents reviews essays and commentary in its 'Issues and Agendas' section, and aims to provoke discussion and debate.

These papers are expected to be provocative and further the dialogue that will advance the development of industrial ecology. Research and Analysis This section include articles that report findings from primary research of a more traditional academic nature. Subjects can range from highly analytic to more policy-oriented. Topics would include analyses of materials flows. assessment of environmental improvement through technological change. development of eco-industrial parks. economic and institutional analysis. organizational studies related to the implementation of industrial ecology. and material choice determinants. Applications And Implementation This section contains articles describing practices springing from industrial ecological principles. Examples would include development of material or product loop-closing systems. introduction of industrial ecological principles or eco-efficiency into the product development cycle. competitive and financial opportunities arising out of industrial ecological practice. and the design and operation of eco-industrial parks. Articles describing government programs and policies that use industrial ecology as a basis for decisionmaking or that facilitate environmentally sound practices relevant to industrial ecology are also sought. Articles should be well-documented beyond mere description of a practice and should be explicitly related to current discussions in industrial ecology in order to provide grounding for others who are interested. Reviews Authors wishing to review current publications related to industrial ecology should contact the book review editor with their suggestions prior to submitting a manuscript.

ZAAC is an international scientific journal which publishes original papers on new relevant research results from all areas of inorganic chemistry, solid state chemistry, and co-ordination chemistry.

The contributions reflect the latest findings in these research areas and serve the development of new materials, such as super-hard materials, electrical superconductors, or intermetallic compounds. Up-to-date physical methods for the characterization of new chemical compounds and materials are also described.

The aim of the journal is to report novel scientific discoveries related to all biological processes in plants using integrative genetic, chemical, cell and molecular biological approaches to understand plants at micro- and macro-scale. Articles submitted to JIPB should fit in one of the following six themes: 1) Cell & Developmental Biology; 2) Metabolic Biology & Biochemistry; 3) Signal Transduction & Stress Response; 4) Systems Biology & Molecular Physiology; 5) Sexual Reproduction; and 6) Molecular Evolution & Ecology. Our primary focus is on providing the answers to significant plant biological questions and on the technologies essential for such studies. Preliminary observations, purely descriptive studies, tissue culture and transformation, and reporting on single plant-derived chemicals fall beyond the scope of the journal.

The Journal of Intellectual Disability Research is devoted exclusively to the scientific study of intellectual disability and publishes papers reporting original observations in this field. The subject matter is broad and includes, but is not restricted to, findings from biological, educational, genetic, medical, psychiatric, psychological and sociological studies, and ethical, philosophical, and legal contributions that increase knowledge on the treatment and prevention of intellectual disability and of associated impairments and disabilities, and/or inform public policy and practice. Expert reviews on themes in which recent research has produced notable advances will be included. Such reviews will normally be by invitation. Anyone expert in his/her particular field wishing to submit an uninvited review is advised to seek prior guidance from the Editor. The Journal also includes brief reports, occasional letters, and an 'Hypothesis' section. All papers are assessed by expert referees.
