This journal is directed at researchers in Numerical Analysis, Computer Sciences and Natural Sciences, engineers and economists who either take part in the development of methods in Numerical Linear Algebra or use such methods in their research.
An international journal that aims to cover research into the development and analysis of new methods for the numerical solution of partial differential equations, it is intended that it be readily readable by and directed to a broad spectrum of researchers into numerical methods for partial differential equations throughout science and engineering. The numerical methods and techniques themselves are emphasized rather than the specific applications. The Journal seeks to be interdisciplinary, while retaining the common thread of applied numerical analysis.
Nursing Inquiry publishes articles on issues relating to the practice of nursing and healthcare, including:.
Nursing Philosophy provides a forum for discussion of philosophical issues in nursing. These focus on questions relating to the nature of nursing and to the phenomena of key relevance to it. For example, any understanding of what nursing is presupposes some conception of just what nurses are trying to do when they nurse. But what are the ends of nursing? Are they to promote health, prevent disease, promote well-being, enhance autonomy, relieve suffering, or some combination of these? How are these ends are to be met? What kind of knowledge is needed in order to nurse? Practical, theoretical, aesthetic, moral, political, 'intuitive' or some other? Papers that explore other aspects of philosophical enquiry and analysis of relevance to nursing (and any other healthcare or social care activity) are also welcome and might include, but not be limited to, critical discussions of the work of nurse theorists who have advanced philosophical claims (e.g., Benner, Benner and Wrubel, Carper, Schrok, Watson, Parse and so on) as well as critical engagement with philosophers (e.g., Heidegger, Husserl, Kuhn, Polanyi, Taylor, MacIntyre and so on) whose work informs health care in general and nursing in particular.
Nursing & Health Sciences (NHS) is a premier international journal focusing on the exchange of knowledge in nursing and health sciences, particularly between the East and West. It has an international authorship, readership and Editorial Board. The journal was the first nursing and health sciences journal to be fully published in English in Japan. It began in 1999 and is owned by the Society for Nursing and Health Sciences at Yamaguchi University. By encouraging Eastern and Western scholars to share their knowledge and experiences, Nursing & Health Sciences provides readers with a deeper understanding of health care around the world, and the opportunity to enrich their own practices to improve global health. Nursing & Health Sciences provides an opportunity for the sharing of both formal, research based knowledge and more informal clinical experience and practice. The Journal publishes scholarly manuscripts, case reports and opinion papers that enrich the understanding of nursing and health sciences around the world. The Journal is covered by the Social Science Citation Index, PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, EMBASE and Index Medicus/MEDLINE.
Nutrition & Dietetics is the official journal of the Dietitians Association of Australia, including the Journal of the New Zealand Dietetic Association. Covering all aspects of food, nutrition and dietetics, the Journal provides a basic forum for the reporting, discussion and development of scientifically credible knowledge related to human nutrition and dietetics. Widely respected in Australia and around the world, Nutrition & Dietetics is Australia and New Zealand's leading peer-reviewed journal in its field. The Journal publishes original research, review papers, viewpoint articles, insights - short papers on findings from demonstrating practice , letters, book reviews, conference reports and continuing education quizzes.
For a practical focus that can enhance your daily work in delivering specialized nutrition support, read Nutrition in Clinical Practice (NCP).NCP is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary publication that publishes articles about the scientific basis and clinical application of nutrition and nutrition support. NCP contains comprehensive reviews, clinical research, case observations, and other types of papers written by experts in the field of nutrition and health care practitioners involved in the delivery of specialized nutrition support.
Obesity is owned by and is the official publication of The Obesity Society. Led by Editor-in-Chief Richard N. Bergman, the journal offers prompt publication of high-quality original research and presents new information in the areas of clinical nutrition medicine, pharmacology, nutrition medicine, genetics, adipogenesis, behavioral epidemiology, biophysics and lipid metabolism, exercise and human physiology, nutritional epidemiology, phenotyping, fat cell physiology, aging, neuroscience, transgenic models, metabolic syndrome, nutrition behavior, pediatric obesity, and adipocyte cell biology.Starting in 2008, Obesity will feature a redesigned front section to help readers stay abreast of the latest information. This section features: editorials, commentaries, reviews, information about articles of interest in the issue, and timely and relevant coverage of research that defines the field.

Optimal Control Applications & Methods provides a forum for papers on the full range of optimal and optimization based control theory and related control design methods. The aim is to encourage new developments in control theory and design methodologies that will lead to real advances in control applications. Papers are also encouraged on the development, comparison and testing of computational algorithms for solving optimal control and optimization problems. The scope also includes papers on optimal estimation and filtering methods which have control related applications. Finally, it will provide a focus for interesting optimal control design studies and report real applications experience covering problems in implementation and robustness. The subject involves the optimization of systems described by differential or difference equations and even covers hybrid systems and non-linear programming and optimization methods. The class of problems covered includes: static and dynamic optimization, linear-quadratic control, nonlinear optimal control, optimal systems design, dynamic programming, optimal stochastic control, periodic optimal control, optimal estimation, multi-criteria and multiple model optimal control, singular perturbation methods, repetitive control, the optimal control of large-scale or distributed systems, and time-delay systems. Papers on the theory of systems with great applications potential will be particularly encouraged including papers on areas such as predictive control, optimal adaptive control, nonlinear, safety critical and reliable control . There is a significant interest in applications, which includes: process and manufacturing, aerospace and defence, marine and automotive systems, structural and mechanical design, robotics and manufacturing systems, chemical, petrochemical and industrial processes, electric power generation and distribution systems, energy systems and management, operations research and business, socio-economic models, biological and biomedical systems, environmental control, water treatment and ecology management, electrical and electronic systems and health care and support. It also covers a wide range of interdisciplinary and complex systems problems, where multi-agent software solutions, intelligent sensors and either dynamic or static optimization plays a major role.
Oral Diseases is a multidisciplinary and international journal with a focus on head and neck disorders. This includes the basic sciences, well designed and controlled clinical research and analytical epidemiology. The essential requirement is that all research is hypothesis-driven.
