The Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality (CJHS), published since 1992, is the scholarly, peer reviewed journal of the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada (SIECCAN). The journal publishes articles from a variety of disciplines related to the study of human sexuality. The journal prioritizes the publication of scholarship addressing the sexuality and sexual and reproductive health of Canadians. However, articles from other countries are also welcomed.

Established in 1956, the official journal of the Canadian Psychiatric Association has been keeping psychiatrists up-to-date on the latest research for more than 50 years. Aims and Scope Download Flyer The Chemical Record (TCR) is a “highlights” journal publishing timely and critical overviews of new developments at the cutting edge of chemistry of interest to a wide audience of chemists (2009 journal impact factor: 3.862). The scope of published reviews includes all areas related to physical chemistry. analytical chemistry. inorganic chemistry. organic chemistry. polymer chemistry. materials chemistry. bioorganic chemistry. biochemistry. biotechnology and medicinal chemistry as well as interdisciplinary fields. TCR provides carefully selected highlight papers by leading researchers that introduce the author’s own experimental and theoretical results in a framework designed to establish perspectives with earlier and contemporary work and provide a critical review of the present state of the subject. The articles are intended to present concise evaluations of current trends in chemistry research to help chemists gain useful insights into fields outside their specialization and provide experts with summaries of recent key developments. Authors are encouraged to give perspectives on their own personal thinking and the historical development that led to significant breakthroughs in research.New developments from industrial laboratories will be featured in a separate section covering corporate research. All manuscripts are peer-reviewed. Manuscripts are generally solicited by the editors. however. voluntary contributions are also welcome. In the latter case potential authors are asked to contact the Editorial Office with an outline before beginning to write in order to avoid duplication of effort and to ensure suitability of the topic and the level of coverage.

2.       Professional discussions. TCN publishes both invited and unsolicited papers that contribute to the journal’s over-arching goal of establishing (and raising) standards of practice.  These include the following: 

• practice guidelines, consensus statements, and position papers that guide clinicians and clinical educators
• invited opinions, commentaries, or discussions
• book reviews (solicited by the Book Review section editor)

3.       Case studies. The Grand Rounds in Clinical Neuropsychology section of the journal is devoted to single case study presentations of interesting, timely, important, or unusual cases. Cases should be instructive and focus on the contributions that competent neuropsychological assessment make in terms of (a) elucidating brain-behavior relationships, (b) determining the functional status of patients, and (c) instructing intervention, treatment, rehabilitation, education, etc.  Essential elements of a case study submission include the following:

• a well-documented history of the patient
• medical/neurologic/psychiatric findings, and neuroimaging (preferred, but not required )
• detailed results of neuropsychological evaluation
• discussion of differential diagnosis and relevent treatment/management considerations

The European Journal of Psychiatry is a quarterly publication founded in 1986 and directed by Professor A. Seva until his death in 2004. It was originally intended to report "the scientific activity of European psychiatrists" and "to bring about a greater degree of communication" among them. However, "since scientific knowledge has no geographical or cultural boundaries, is open to contributions from all over the world". These principles are maintained in the new stage of the journal, now expanded with the help of an American editor.The journal also keeps to the original foundations of "an eclectic orientation in its scientific approach freed largely from ideological burdens". It invites contributions in areas related to biological, psychological and social sciences, and the aim is to communicate the research in the causes, consequences, treatment and care of all forms of mental disorder. It will be of interest to psychiatrists, psychologists, social scientists, nurses and others engaged in mental health professions, together with basic neurobiological researchers. Topics covered will include epidemiology of mental disorders, clinical aetiological research, post mortem pathological and neurochemical studies, treatment trials and evaluation of services.The over-riding criteria for publication are originality, a high scientific quality and interest to a wide audience of those concerned with all aspects of mental illness. All original papers will be refereed by independent experts in the field.
