The purpose of Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease is to provide in-depth, scholarly review articles about the care and management of persons with early kidney disease and kidney failure, as well as those at risk for kidney disease. Emphasis is on articles related to the early identification of kidney disease; prevention or delay in progression of kidney disease; the multidisciplinary case management of patients with chronic kidney disease or kidney failure, organ effects of kidney disease; epidemiology and outcomes research in chronic kidney disease; benefits and complications of the primary treatment methods, dialysis and transplantation; technical aspects of the delivery of uremia therapy; care of the critically ill patient with kidney failure in the intensive care setting; new therapies for kidney failure; and health care research in chronic kidney disease. The full spectrum of basic science through clinical care is covered in these reviews. Clinical care issues stress the multidisciplinary team approach to the care of kidney patients. Topics covered will be of interest to practicing nephrologists (pediatric and adult), nephrology fellows (pediatric and adult), nurses, technicians, dietitians, and social workers caring for patients with kidney disease. Advances in Life Course Research publishes articles dealing with various aspects of the human life course. Seeing life course research as an essentially interdisciplinary field of study, it invites and welcomes contributions from anthropology, biosocial science, demography, epidemiology and statistics, gerontology, economics, management and organisation science, policy studies, psychology, research methodology and sociology. Original empirical analyses, theoretical contributions, methodological studies and reviews accessible to a broad set of readers are welcome. All articles in Advances in Manufacturing are peer reviewed. Respected scholars from the fields of advanced manufacturing fields will be invited to write some comments. We also encourage and give priority to research papers that have made major breakthroughs or innovations in the fundamental theory. The targeted fields include: manufacturing automation, mechatronics and robotics, precision manufacturing and control, micro-nano-manufacturing, green manufacturing, design in manufacturing, metallic and nonmetallic materials in manufacturing, metallurgical process, etc. The forms of articles include (but not limited to): academic articles, research reports, and general reviews.

Advances in Materials Science and Engineering is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of materials science and engineering.

The Journal covers advancement in materials and processes used to manufacture components and parts. Articles accepted for publication will report recent improvements in the properties of materials and development of recent technologies to manufacture components. The Journal will also cover new developments in processing and fabrication technologies of materials of various types including modelling, simulations, and experimental work. Equally, articles reporting innovation in manufacturing processes that reduce waste, enhance component performance, and ensure environmental sustainability will also be considered.

Specifically, the Journal will be interested in receiving manuscript contributions in the following areas:

• Effects of processing parameters on the macro- and micro-properties of all engineering materials.
• Innovations/ Improvements in processing techniques of all types of engineering materials including sustainability.
• The topics of articles may be in one or more of the following areas:
• • Metallic materials and their alloys; composite materials; non-metallic materials; bio-compatible materials; sensor materials.
  • Manufacturing processes such as forming; machining; joining; welding; laser processing; plasma processing; micro- and nano- processing; quality and reliability issues of products & their applications.

Advances in Mathematics of Communications (AMC) publishes original research papers of the highest quality in all areas of mathematics and computer science which are relevant to applications in communications technology. For this reason, submissions from many areas of mathematics are invited, provided these show a high level of originality, new techniques, an innovative approach, novel methodologies, or otherwise a high level of depth and sophistication. Any work that does not conform to these standards will be rejected.Areas covered include coding theory, cryptology, combinatorics, finite geometry, algebra and number theory, but are not restricted to these. 1. the connectivity of Physics, by which we mean the intellectual relationships between one branch of Physics and another, and
   
2. the pervasiveness of Physics, that is, the influence of Physics across (hence the “X”) the boundaries into other disciplines, including chemistry, materials science, engineering, biology and medicine.

Thus the journal will promote the centrality of Physics and physical measurement to modern science and technology, defending the discipline and revealing both its richness and its impact.
