The aim of Cement and Concrete Research is to publish the best research on cement, cement composites, concrete and other allied materials that incorporate cement. In doing so, the journal will present: the results of research on the properties and performance of cement and concrete; novel experimental techniques; the latest analytical and modelling methods; the examination and the diagnosis of real cement and concrete structures; and the potential for improved materials. The fields which the journal aims to cover are:• Processing: Cement manufacture, mixing and rheology, admixtures and hydration. While the majority of articles will be concerned with Portland cements, we encourage articles on other cement systems, such as calcium aluminate.• Structural and Microstructural Characterisation of the unhydrated components and of hydrated systems including: the chemistry, crystal structure, pore structure of cement and concrete, characterisation techniques, and structural and microstructural modelling.• The properties of cement and concrete, including: fundamental physical properties; transport, mechanical and other properties, the processes of degradation of cement and concrete; and the modelling of properties, both as a means of predicting short and long performance, and as a means of relating a material's structure to its properties.• Applications for cement and concrete, including: concrete technology, fibre reinforcement, waste management, and novel concretes. The journal's principal publications are original articles containing new information, major reviews and selected papers from important conferences. Discussion of published material and rapid communications will form part of the journal where appropriate. The journal will focus on papers with a broad interest, based upon their subject area, the quality of the research, the novelty of the results and the potential for assimilation of the findings.

Challenge is dedicated to publishing highly readable heterodox articles on contemporary and historical economic subjects. Its tradition is a progressive one, having been started in the 1970s to support new Keynesian ideas. Challenge ’s readership is lay professional, but includes many economists and other academics who often use the articles as supplements to their class syllabi. It is a magazine, not a journal, and has thrived for more than four decades by serving as an approachable and timely source of ideas, information, and public policy proposals. It is written mostly by economists but also by political scientists, sociologists, psychologist, and journalists. Thus, Challenge occasionally publishes statistical and quantitative research but is focused on well-researched opinions with strong points of view, and as noted timeliness is important. It has never been peer reviewed: its objectives are, like traditional magazines, to be highly literate, to question current doctrine, to react quickly to new events, to work for the public goods, and above all, to be interesting.
Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 530 Walnut Street, Suite 850, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

It publishes scholarly content which is typically not publishable in traditional research journals, such as research proposals (funded and unfunded), research plans (e.g., a protocol for a systematic review, further research of a technology application, etc.), research or technology ideas, policy studies relating to science and scholarly research, open contests aiming at solving grand challenges, prize announcements, description of prototypes, calls for or description of international research collaborations or complementary support, etc. Manuscripts submitted to Challenges must comply with the highest scientific standards and will be peer-reviewed before a decision regarding possible publication in the journal is made. For funded research proposals, the peer-review process will be skipped and manuscripts published after copy-editing and with comments from the grant review attached, if available. In addition, authors will benefit from discounts on possible publication charges if they subsequently submit papers related to the research project to other MDPI journals.
Change is published by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. Channels is the first international peer-reviewed journal to focus exclusively on all aspects of ion channel and ion transporter/exchanger function. This includes papers on biophysics, structure, molecular biology, structure-function analysis, and regulation of channels and ion transport proteins, as well as their roles in health and disease. We also encourage submission of manuscripts concerned with physiological aspects that branch into areas such as neuroscience and cardiovascular sciences, provided that channels and/or transporters are the main focus of such studies. There are no limitations on technical and experimental approaches that will be considered. The goal is to foster communication and rapid exchange of information through timely publication of important results using traditional (print) as well as electronic formats (online). The overriding criteria for publication in Channels are originality, scientific merit and general interest. Channels is a bi-monthly publication.Categories of manuscripts include original research, reviews, article addenda, commentaries and meeting reports. All manuscripts are sent for in depth peer review, however, the editorial board will consider reviewer reports from submissions to leading journals such as Nature, Science and Cell for accelerated review. Our goal is for Channelsto become the leading journal in the ion channel and transporter fields.
Chaos, Solitons & Fractals aims to be a leading journal in the interdisciplinary field of Nonlinear Science, and Nonequilibrium and Complex Phenomena. It encourages the submission of articles on the following subjects in this field: dynamics; non-equilibrium processes in physics, chemistry and geophysics; complex matter and networks; mathematical models; computational biology; applications to quantum and mesoscopic phenomena; fluctuations and random processes; self-organization; social phenomena. The journal can only accept papers whose primary subject area lies within the above Aims & Scope. In particular, please take notice of the following:• Papers of a more applied or engineering nature can be considered when they are closely connected to one of the subjects of the journal and contribute to a better understanding of that subject.• In order to be acceptable, manuscripts on integrable systems should at least attempt a connection to physical insight or new qualitative features. The word “Solitons” should be understood as a label especially extended to all nonlinear integrable systems in complex natural phenomena. The paper should not bear on some explicit formulae, some standard solutions, constructions, or asymptotic methods.• The journal is interested in articles providing strong insights in the mathematical theory of fractals that play an important role either in understanding the general theory or are profound for an important particular application, especially in complex systems. Numerical computations should only assist the developed results. Also welcome are the discovery of new fractals that are crucial for important applications. The subject listing is specified further in the journal's classification list. Authors are required to specify matching classifications upon submission of their work.Note for authors:Plagiarism is unethical behaviour and is not tolerated at Chaos, Solitons & Fractals. All manuscripts submitted to Chaos, Solitons & Fractals will be checked for originality using the CrossCheck database. For more information on CrossCheck, please visit http://www.crossref.org/crosscheck.html

Check List is a peer-reviewed online journal, devoted to publishing biodiversity data related to species’ geographic distributions. Thus, our primary mission is to fill the so-called Wallacean shortfall (Lomolino 2004) and to improve our knowledge of how life is distributed on the planet in order to better preserve it. These data are essential for studies on biogeography and provide a baseline for the conservation of biodiversity. The first step to undertaking effective conservation action is to maintain records of the distribution of species.
